Guest Information

RECEPTION

To contact Reception please call (07) 4157 2599 from your mobile device.

Reception open hours on site are 2pm to 6pm daily.  Should you require assistance outside of these hours, please contact us on the number above.

CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT 

Check-in time is 2.00pm.
Check-out time is 10.00am

EARLY DEPARTURE

Should you wish to depart prior to 8:00am, leave your key in the key return box in front of reception. Please be respectful of other guest and keep departure noise to a minimum.

​

​

AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING 

Your room is individually equipped with reverse cycle air conditioning. If the air conditioner is not operating correctly, firstly check that the correct mode has been selected.  Please see below for some basic operating instructions. The ideal temperature year round is 22 degrees celsius.

​

Please Note: The snowflake symbol means cooling and the sunshine symbol means heating. Cooling and heating will take a few minutes to start as it is calculating the outside temperature to the inside temperature.

​

BLANKETS & PILLOWS

A spare blanket and pillow are located in the wardrobe. 

​

​

CAR PARKING 

Please enjoy complimentary access to our guest car park.  There is one space reserved per unit. If you require another parking space, please arrange this with reception.

​

Please Note:

  • Max height 2.7m.  Please check the height of your vehicle before entering

  • ONE car park per unit

  • NO Parking in the driveways.

  • There is plenty of off-street parking available for larger vehicles or for those towing trailers.

  • As we are an older motel parking is tight, please park neatly in your designated spot.

GUEST AMENITIES

Village Motor Inn provides eco-friendly, Australian made, ‘Refill Not Landfill’ amenities for you to use in your bathroom (Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand & Body Wash, Moisturiser). For forgotten items, Cornetts Super IGA is located just a short walk from the motel and are open 7am to 8pm all year round, as well as 8am to 6pm on Public Holidays.

GREEN CHOICES

We are actively reducing our footprint with solar electricity and solar hot-water. As well as phasing out single use plastics by using refillable amenities, metal cutlery and no bin liners. Please assist us in our recycling efforts by placing recycling in the exterior bins provided.

​

IRON / IRONING BOARD / HAIRDRYER

An iron and ironing board are located in the wardrobe of your room. You will also find a hairdryer located either in the same wardrobe or secured to the bathroom wall.

​

​

MICROWAVE / TOASTER / KETTLE

All units have microwave, toaster and kettle. Please be respectful of these items. We aim to provide guest with these for convenience and keep them well maintained. If you find any items not working, please advise reception or our cleaning staff.

​

You will also find small plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery in your room. If you require any more crockery items during your stay please contact reception or see our cleaning staff and we can provide.

​

A selection of complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits has also been provided for your enjoyment. You will also find UHT milks in the fridge.

​

​

SMART TV

All units are fitted with a large smart TV. These devices have internet access with Netflix.

​

​

POD COFFEE MACHINE

All units have pod coffee machines with a selection of complimentary pods. For instructions of use please click on the below links for the machine featured in your unit.

LAUNDRY

The township has a laundromat with coin operated machines is located at 79 Mulgrave Street.

WI-FI

Complimentary wireless internet is available to all guests.  You will find access details located in your unit on the wall above the bench.

​

 

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Guests are reminded that the cost of replacement or repair of anytime item, that goes beyond fair wear and tear, and that is caused by the guests or their invited guests will be charged to their account and subsequently charged to their credit card provided at time of check in.

​

​

NOISE

We have a zero tolerance for excessive noise and/or large parties within the complex.  Should there be reports of such events, we will not hesitate to evict all guests from the offending unit.

​

Should you experience excessive noise during your stay, please call our reception line on (07) 4157 2599 to report so our security service can attend and take action if necessary.

​

​

SMOKING

All rooms are Non-Smoking. Smoking is only be permitted in our courtyard garden. Please do not smoke outside rooms. Smoking within our units is considered to be malicious damage. If a room is found to have been used for smoking by the guests or invitees of the guests, a minimum charge of $300.00 will be charged to the guests account or credit card supplied at check-in to compensate for cleaning.

PET POLICY

We have a strict no pet in rooms policy. Please refer all inquires to reception for alternative arrangements.

​

DOCTOR

Should you require a Doctor, please contact either Currajong Clinic on (07) 4157 2922 located at 59 Mulgrave Street. Or Gin Gin Family Medical Center on (07) 4157 2625 located at 5 King Street.

Alternatively, the township has an emergency department at the local hospital located at 5 King Street.

Should you require urgent medical attention, please dial 000 and advise location of 44 Mulgrave Street, Gin Gin.

Please notify reception in the event of incident, fire or other emergency. We have a 24hr phone contact on (07) 4157 2599.

WHAT TO SEE & DO

Gin Gin is a popular highway location and a great place for all travelers from the north and south to rest and rejuvenate. There are many local sites and attractions that are worth adding to your itinerary.
 

  1. Gin Gin Streetscape – our main street boast a variety of stores for travelers to restock, refuel and revive. Including an IGA, Pharmacy, Hardware stores and Service Stations. You will also find a great selection of locally sourced products, collectables and treasures at the Courthouse Gallery, Information Center, A Crafty Male, LuLu & Mae, Vet Cross Produce, Gin Gin Post Office, Gin Gin Newsagent and the Saturday Wild Scotsman Markets. If you stroll the center parkland strip you will discover a variety of murals and artworks.
     

  2. Gallery – The Gin Gin Regional Courthouse Gallery is always worth a visit with changing exhibitions. It also stocks an impressive gift shop and Café that serves tea, coffee and fresh homemade baked goods. Open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm PLUS First Saturday of month for exhibition Openings.
     

  3. Museum – The Gin Gin Historical Village features an impressive collection of historical items from the region on display. Open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm, along with their Saturday Wild Scotchman Markets where you can enjoy their BBQ Hut full cooked breakfast, from 7am – Noon.
     

  4. Parks & Playgrounds – For guest traveling with children, our town has a great range of local playgrounds and parks. We highly recommend the Recreation Reserve Park on Walker Street.
     

  5. Library and Community Hub – Located at 4 Dear Street, the Community Hub runs workshops, classes, exhibitions and a great collection of local history. You can also access there Free WiFi and there is an Electric Car Charging facility located out front.
     

  6. Public Pool – during the summer months our well-equipped and maintained public pool boast BBQ facilities, beach volley ball court and children’s water playground. Located at 45 Somerset Street.
     

  7. Fishing – Lake Monduran is located only 20kms north of Gin Gin. Here anglers can enjoy fishing for Barramundi, water sports on the lake, guided fishing tours and boat hire. Check out Lake Monduran Barra Charters to book in a session with local Jamie Bein on his boat.
     

  8. Mystery Craters – Off Gin Gin Road at South Kolan, this unique rock formation is 25 million years old. The attraction is under new management and now operates a Cafe selling coffee, ice drinks & snacks.
     

  9. Boolboonda Tunnel – Known as the longest, non-supported tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere. Home to hundreds of bent winged bats, this man-made tunnel is a site to behold. Located between Gin Gin and Mount Perry. 33 km from Gin Gin and is clearly signposted.
     

  10. Gin Gin & Dry Gourmet Dried Foods – With an impressive collection of dried fruit on offer, local producers Gin Gin & Dry (as featured on Landline) offer sales at their farm gate processing facility, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. If your in the area it is a great opportunely to stock up or try their Australian Made products.
