EARLY DEPARTURE
Should you wish to depart prior to 8:00am, leave your key in the exterior of the door. Please be respectful of residents and keep departure noise to a minimum.

AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING
The guesthouse is equipped with 2 reverse cycle air conditioners. If the air conditioner is not operating correctly, firstly check that the correct mode has been selected. Please see below for some basic operating instructions. The ideal temperature year round is 22 degrees.
​
Please Note: The snowflake symbol means cooling and the sunshine symbol means heating. Cooling and heating will take a few minutes to start as it is calculating the outside temperature to the inside temperature.

BLANKETS, PILLOWS & LINEN
A spare blanket and pillow are located in the bedroom wardrobe. Also additional towels are located in the vanity cupboard.

CAR PARKING
There is ample on street car-parking available in our quite no-through road street. If required, your hosts can arrange parking in our undercover car park. Please arrange this with reception.

No Parking across or in the driveway.

There is plenty of off-street parking available for larger vehicles or for those towing trailers.

GUEST AMENITIES
Village Motor Inn provides eco-friendly, Australian made, ‘Refill Not Landfill’ amenities for you to use in your bathroom (Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand & Body Wash) aswell as hand wash, washing up liquid and dishwasher powder in the kitchen sink cupboard. For forgotten or additional items, Cornetts Super IGA is located just a short walk or drive from the Guesthouse and are open 7am to 8pm all year round, as well as 8am to 6pm on Public Holidays.

GREEN CHOICES
We are actively reducing our footprint with solar electricity and solar hot-water. As well as phasing out single use plastics by using refillable amenities and metal cutlery. Please assist us in our recycling efforts by placing recycling in marked bins provided.

IRON / IRONING BOARD / HAIRDRYER
An iron and ironing board are located in the wardrobe of your bedroom. You will also find a hairdryer and portable heater located in the bathroom vanity.
​

MICROWAVE / TOASTER / KETTLE / FRIDGE
The guesthouse kitchen includes microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. Please be respectful of these items. We aim to provide guest with these for convenience and keep them well maintained. If you find any items not working, please phone reception.
​
You will also find plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery and a small collection of cookware for self catering. A Devanti gas cooker and rangehood as been installed for your use. To operate cook top, turn dial to desired flame and press down to activate lighter.
​
A selection of complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits has also been provided for your enjoyment. You will also find UHT milks in the fridge.
​

POD COFFEE MACHINE
The guesthouse kitchen features a pod coffee machine with a selection of complimentary pods. For instructions to use please click on the below links for the machine featured.

SMART TV
Our guesthouse is fitted with a large smart TV. This device has internet access with Netflix.
​
LAUNDRY
The guesthouse includes a small Hoover 7kg washing machine for use during long stays. You will also find located in the vanity complimentary ‘Refill Not Landfill’ laundry liquid & measure cup. We recommend using 30ml measure of laundry liquid placed in the marked '2' dispenser compartment of the machine and set dial to 'Daily 59', reduce spin to '400', set temperature to '60' degrees. For pet items or larger washes you will find the township has a laundromat with coin operated machines located at 79 Mulgrave Street.

DISHWASHER
The guesthouse includes a small Fisher & Paykel draw dishwasher for use during long stays. You will find located under the kitchen sink complimentary ‘Refill Not Landfill’ dishwasher powder & measure scoop. We recommend using 1/2 scoop measure of dishwasher powder placed in the larger dispenser compartment of the machine. Set to your desired cycle by pressing the inner door buttons, close the dishwasher and hit start. Please do not place timber items in the dishwasher. Please hand wash these only.

WI-FI
Complimentary wireless internet is available to our guests. You will find access details listed on the refrigerator.
​
SMOKING
The guesthouse is Non-Smoking accommodation. Smoking is only permitted outside, a table set and ash tray has been provided. Smoking within our guesthouse is considered to be malicious damage. If a room is found to have been used for smoking by the guests or invitees of the guests, a minimum charge of $300.00 will be charged to the guests account or credit card supplied at check-in to compensate for cleaning.

PET POLICY
We have a strict no pet in rooms policy. Please refer all inquires to reception for alternative arrangements.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE
Guests are reminded that the cost of replacement or repair of anytime item, that goes beyond fair wear and tear, and that is caused by the guests or their invited guests will be charged to their account and subsequently charged to their credit card provided at time of check in.
​
​
NOISE
We have a zero tolerance for excessive noise and/or large parties on the property. Should there be reports of such events, we will not hesitate to evict all guests.
​
Should you experience excessive noise during your stay, please call our reception line on (07) 4157 2599 to report so our security service can attend and take action if necessary.

DOCTOR
Should you require a Doctor, please contact either Currajong Clinic on (07) 4157 2922 located at 59 Mulgrave Street. Or Gin Gin Family Medical Center on (07) 4157 2625 located at 5 King Street.
Alternatively, the township has an emergency department at the local hospital located at 5 King Street.

Gin Gin is a popular highway location and a great place for all travelers from the north and south to rest and rejuvenate. There are many local sites and attractions that are worth adding to your itinerary.

Gin Gin Streetscape – our main street boast a variety of stores for travelers to restock, refuel and revive. Including an IGA, Pharmacy, Hardware stores and Service Stations. You will also find a great selection of locally sourced products, collectables and treasures at the Courthouse Gallery, Information Center, A Crafty Male, LuLu & Mae, Vet Cross Produce, Gin Gin Post Office, Gin Gin Newsagent and the Saturday Wild Scotsman Markets. If you stroll the center parkland strip you will discover a variety of murals and artworks.

Gallery – The Gin Gin Regional Courthouse Gallery is always worth a visit with changing exhibitions. It also stocks an impressive gift shop and Café that serves tea, coffee and fresh homemade baked goods. Open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm PLUS First Saturday of month for exhibition Openings.

Museum – The Gin Gin Historical Village features an impressive collection of historical items from the region on display. Open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm, along with their Saturday Wild Scotchman Markets where you can enjoy their BBQ Hut full cooked breakfast, from 7am – Noon.

Parks & Playgrounds – For guest traveling with children, our town has a great range of local playgrounds and parks. We highly recommend the Recreation Reserve Park on Walker Street.

Library and Community Hub – Located at 4 Dear Street, the Community Hub runs workshops, classes, exhibitions and a great collection of local history. You can also access there Free WiFi and there is an Electric Car Charging facility located out front.

Public Pool – during the summer months our well-equipped and maintained public pool boast BBQ facilities, beach volley ball court and children’s water playground. Located at 45 Somerset Street.

Fishing – Lake Monduran is located only 20kms north of Gin Gin. Here anglers can enjoy fishing for Barramundi, water sports on the lake, guided fishing tours and boat hire. Check out Lake Monduran Barra Charters to book in a session with local Jamie Bein on his boat.

Mystery Craters – Off Gin Gin Road at South Kolan, this unique rock formation is 25 million years old. The attraction is under new management and now operates a Cafe selling coffee, ice drinks & snacks.

Boolboonda Tunnel – Known as the longest, non-supported tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere. Home to hundreds of bent winged bats, this man-made tunnel is a site to behold. Located between Gin Gin and Mount Perry. 33 km from Gin Gin and is clearly signposted.

Gin Gin & Dry Gourmet Dried Foods – With an impressive collection of dried fruit on offer, local producers Gin Gin & Dry (as featured on Landline) offer sales at their farm gate processing facility, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. If your in the area it is a great opportunely to stock up or try their Australian Made products.
